Dubai´s first low-cost airline will be flying four days a week for now. The cost includes the air fare, tax and other charges and covers one hand luggage of up to 10 kg. This is flydubai´s lowest fare and the passenger will have to pay extra for food and luggage.
“People have usually been paying for the food even when they do not intend to eat it and also for luggage beyond what they are carrying. We do not want people to pay for what they are not using or carrying,” flydubai CEO Gaith Al Gaith said at a press conference Tuesday.
The low cost seats, however, are limited. “The earlier you book, the cheaper you can get. Also the rise in prices is around $20 per category,” Gaith said.
Sticking to its customizable service principle, flyddubai also allows passengers to choose seats and get extra leg room space for additional costs.
