Fly insecticide kills two girls in Sarlahi

JANAKPUR, May 1: Two girls of Karmaiya-2, Sarlahi have died after consuming insecticide, mistaking it for sugar.



Gyan Bahadur Moktan’s seven-year-old daughter Sita Moktan took some insecticide from his grocery store and shared it with five of her friends.



Five-year-old Pramila Moktan also died of poisoning. Among the other four girls who ate the fly insecticide three are being treated at the Narayani Hospital of Birgunj while one is being treated at the Namuna Hospital at Hariban. According to police the six girls consumed eleven 50-gram packets of fly insecticide.
