Five wanted criminals in police net

LAHAN, Oct 16: Police in the district have arrested five wanted criminals over the past one-and-a-half months.



According to Ward Police Office, Lahan, Siltu Sada, 51, was arrested on October 14. Siltu had been absconding after the murder of Bishu Lal Sada, 40, of Bhagawanpur VDC-7, Siraha. Similarly, Devilal Das Tatma, 70, who had been absconding since 2003 was arrested on October 15. Tatma was accused of killing Bannu Chaudhari of Brahman Gochhari-4.[break]



Likewise, Kamal Narayan Yadav, 36, who was absconding after abducting and killing his neighbor in 2003, was arrested on October 10. Similarly, Ram Safal Yadav, 43, of Mahadev VDC-4 was also arrested after a year in hiding. Ram Safal has been accused of killing Dinesh Mahato, 14, of Mahadevaporta VDC-2.



Likewise, Rafik Sah, 26, of Nahararigaul VDC -8, was arrested on September 28. He had been absconding after shooting Shivaram Sah of the same village five year ago.



According to Police Inspector Dhakendra Khatiwada, police had started a campaign to nab the wanted criminals. “The files of the wanted criminals were gathering dust for a long time. However, after the campaign, we have been able to arrest all the absconding criminals,” said Khatiwada.
