First All Nepal Open Full-contact Karate from Friday

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Nepal Kyokushin-Kan Karate Association is set to organize the two-day first All Nepal Open Full-contact Karate Tournament 2019 from Friday.

A total of 20 teams from 17 full contact Karate associations, departmental teams Nepal Army, Nepal Police Club and Armed Police Force will take part in the tournament to be held in the covered hall of the Pokhara Stadium, organizers said in a press meet on Wednesday. 

Likewise, altogether 276 players (both men and women) will compete in 14 weight categories.
According to the association, the tournament will be the biggest Karate competition ever held in Nepal. 
The tournament aims at identifying and producing national level players, said the organizers.
