KATHMANDU, Feb 1: A fire broke out at a house in Thamel on Saturday morning, causing 6.5 million in damage, according to the police.
The fire started on the second floor of Bhawishwor Sharma's house in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, Thamel, where he operated a "sauna bath." The central newsroom of Nepal Police stated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
The police, along with local residents and the fire department, extinguished the fire. Authorities noted that they managed to minimize the damage by responding quickly to the alert.
