It was not immediately clear what caused the fire. This is the second incident of fire inside a college premises in recent days. Bishwa Bhasa Campus, that is close to RR, also witnessed sudden breaking out of fire.
Meanwhile, Avenues TV reported that the fire at RR Campus has caused tension between the student wings of the two major communist parties – Maoist-affiliated All Nepal National Independent Students´ Union-Revolutionary and CPN-UML´s All Nepal National Free Students´ Union.
The countrywide elections for Free Students´ Union is slated for Thursday.
