Fake currency transaction reported in Jaleshwor jail

GAUSHALA, May 11: It has been learnt that a fake currency note transaction is made in Jaleshwor Jail, a common jail for Mahottari and Dhanusha districts.



The secret came to light after the District Police Office, Mahottari, seized nine Nepali currency notes of one thousand rupee denomination from the Jail following a tip off from the jail source.[break]



A special team of police sent from the Office arrested Kailash Chaudhary of Sonamai VDC Ward No. 4 from Mahottari. Chaudhary has been serving life sentence for the last two years.



Police claimed that the group had been making the fake currency note transactions for the last two years. However, the Jail Administration stated that it had no knowledge of it.
