KATHMANDU, July 23: Former Prime Minister and leader of the UCPN (Maoist), Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that the recent activities of the former King Gyanendra Shah are objectionable.
Talking to a selected group journalist in the Capital on Tuesday, Bhattarai said that the former Monarch´s ongoing trip in the various Terai districts is politically motivated.
"Gyanendra´s visit to Terai district is politically motivated in the name of providing assistance to the flood-victims. This is quite objectionable," Bhattarai said, adding that the major parties and civil society activists, who were parts of the Second Janaandolan-2063, should be cautioned of former King Gyanedra´s activities. "A section of society is trying to create a conducive environment in favor of former King Gyanendra claiming that the Monarchy was better than current political system. It is completely wrong," Bhattarai said adding, "Such expressions help not to institutionalize the agendas set by the Janaandolan Second."
