KATHMANDU, June 13: A prison inmate who escaped from the Lalitpur-based Nakkhu Prison during the Gen Z movement held on September 8–9, 2025, has been arrested from Mudhe of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality–9 in Sindhupalchowk.
The person has been identified as Sunil Shrestha, 44, of Sailung Rural Municipality–8 in Dolakha. He was serving a five-year jail sentence in a dacoity and theft case.

A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended him from Sindhupalchowk. Following his arrest, he has already been returned to Nakkhu Prison, the office said.
