Dhuplal Pandit died on his way to hospital after the vehicle with registration plate Ba 1 Ga 2058 hit him. Pandit was looking after grazing cattle when the accident happened, according to Police Inspector Govinda Jha.
Locals obstructed the highway for three hours demanding compensation. It was only opened at 5:30 p.m. after a compensation amount of Rs. 350,000 was agreed.
The vehicle and driver Jeevan Shah are in police control.
