EC directs to continue to enlist voter's list even in Saturday

LALITPUR, July 13: The Election Commission has directed all the 75 District Election Offices to continue the voters´ list enlisting task even on Saturdays due to high pressure of the voters. The commission has stipulated the last date till July 15 for enlisting names in voters´ lists across the country.



Due to the over crowdedness of the people in enlisting names in voters´ lists, it will be continued even on Saturdays, said Bir Bahadur Rai, spokesperson of the commission.



Towards the end of the period, the locals in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Biratnagar, Narayanghat, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Mahendranagar have been thronging for enlisting their names in the biometric voters´ list, said spokesperson Rai.
