KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Krishna Lama, a painter pursuing his Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) from the Fine Arts Central Department of Tribhuvan University, showcased 28 paintings, entitled “Dissolving into Forms,” at the exhibition organized by Altamira School of Visual Arts at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal, from Jan 20 to 23.

“The things which were happening around me always provoked me to create dissolving forms. [break]

The elongated figures in my paintings are the representation of memory images which always floated inside my mind like fish in the aquarium, and therefore, I wanted to display my work,” shares Lama.

The works are done in acrylic and he has managed to portray his feelings aptly on the canvases.

Love, relationship, pain, the importance of understanding one’s self, motherhood, and the impact of modernization are the main sources of inspiration which he has expressed through different elements.

“The beauty of love, purity of relationship and the role of mother in any individual’s life are facts I’ve been blessed with, and I’ve projected them in my paintings.

Similarly, I have also painted the darker sides of life, pain, because doing so solaces my heart.” added Lama.
