“DigiClass is a cognitive learning approach, and is a widely accepted theory on the learning process. And CG Education, an educational wing of the Chaudhary Group, is now taking an initiative to establish Digi classrooms in the educational institutions of Nepal,” informed the organizers at the press conference at Shangri-La Hotel, Lazimpat.[break]
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Bhushan Gurung, principal of The Chandbagh School. The chief guest at the program was Rajeev Salwan, Vice President of Indian Subcontinent Region, Manipal K-12 Education of India, and Sanat Neupane, CEO of CG Education. They both have jointly launched the product “DIGI Classrooms” in Nepal.
Salwan highlighted on global perspectives and long-term returns from information and communications technology (ICT) classrooms for educational institutions.
“Being in the educational system for a long time and knowing that it is one of the fastest growing industries, we wanted to introduce a new approach where students can understand better and retain new information,” said Salwan.
He further explained that DigiClass’s multimedia contents include audio-visual aids, demonstrations, simulations, rhymes, games, activity sheets, e-books, 3D interactivity, and patterns which will help teachers to teach the students in better ways and make them understand better.
In Nepal, the CG Digi classrooms will be under the brand name “CG DIGI class” with the content support from Manipal K-12. The curriculum will be as per the needs and requirements of all important boards of education, such as CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE (A Level), SLC/HSEB. The product will be available in a hassle-free way under Single Window Service.
The Chandbagh School in Kathmandu is the first mascot initiative taken by CG-Education. The school has already implemented ICT-enabled classes. CG Education is involved in various educational activities in Nepal since 1996, and is now initiating efforts to establish DIGI classrooms in the educational institutions of the country.
The Chandbagh School, being a pioneer education institution of the CG Education, has planned to expand its reach to other major cities of Nepal in order to provide the best learning and teaching amenities from Kindergarten to the Post-Graduate-level students.
