A large portion of the visitors to the temples of goddesses in Morang is devotees from bordering Indian towns and villages.

In the past years, the number of people visiting the temples used to be low, due mainly to security reasons. The security situation has improves in the district this year, after the government implemented special security plan.

DSP Bidyananda Jha said security has been beefed up for Dashain. Plainclothes policemen and women police personnel have also been mobilized to control cases of looting and other criminal activities during Dashain.
