BUTWAL, Feb 18: In the second day meeting of the closed session, delegates of the Eighth National Convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), have started discussion on statute amendment proposal tabled by Amrit Bohara.

In the session, 1,816 delegates of the convention have started discussion on the electoral system and new structure of the central committee. Bohara has proposed a change that calls for a multi-post structure of the central committee but whether central committee elects the officials including party chairperson, vice-chairperson, general secretary and others or the delegates directly elect them is to be decided by the delegates.

Tuesday´s session was scheduled to start discussion on the statute amendment proposal but due to lack of time, it was postponed till Wednesday without entering the agenda.
