UML General Convention: Participants can enter closed session only after health examination in view of COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The delegates will be admitted to the closed session of the 10th National General Convention of the CPN-UML only after examining the health of the delegates.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The delegates will be admitted to the closed session of the 10th National General Convention of the CPN-UML only after examining the health of the delegates. 


A team of health workers will be deployed for the health examination of those wanting to participate in the closed session. The delegates will be tested for common cold and fever in view of the risk of COVID-19.

The General Convention Health Committee has mobilized health workers including doctors to examine the health condition of all the delegates at Sauraha. According to the party, the step has been taken because of the risk of COVID-19 infection. Poudel said that the delegates attending the convention would be treated at the hotel where they were staying at night.


The party has put specialist doctors in standby around the clock to ensure health safety.
