The kins have received the bodies after the identities of the deceased were established, according to the police.A total of 24 people were killed and 31 others were injured when the Kathmandu-bound bus from Diktel with registration number Ba 2 Kha 6376 skidded off the road and fell 500 meters down the road at Barkhetar of Mahadevsthan VDC-1 on Tuesday. Among the deceased were 17 males, including a five-year-old boy, and seven females.
All 24 of them, out of the total 70 passengers in the ill-fated bus, had died on the spot. Out of the 31 injured, 23 airlifted to Kathmandu are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the capital. However, eight passengers, who sustained minor injuries, are receiving treatment at a local health post based in Haleshi, according to the police.
