Speaking to reporters here in Sindhuli district, Dahal said, "The scheduled election date would not be differed at any cost despite boycott threats issued by CPN-Maoist camp," adding that parties have tried enough to bring the CPN-Maoist onboard the election process but it could not be succeeded.[break]
Dahal further said that they had even requested Election Commission to extend the date of filing for candidate nominations by seven more days for the sake of CPN-Maoist’s participation in the election but went in vein.
Urging not to cast doubts on the upcoming elections on stipulated date, Dahal also argued that he along with his party leaders have arrived here in the district as part of election campaign.
Dahal further said that prospect of joining the upcoming elections by the CPN-Maoist camp is becoming slimmer from now on.
Responding to reporters query on the prospect of party unification with its breakaway faction CPN-Maoist, Dahal ruled out any possibility at least prior to the upcoming elections.
