Banepa was tense since this morning due to strike called by Maoist-affiliated Tamang Mukti Morcha.
The curfew will be enforced from Sanga Bhanjyang to Budwal of Kavre, 28-km section of the Araniko Highway and two kilometers area on both side of the highway.[break]
According to RSS, the DAO imposed the curfew after the police failed to contain violence despite using hundreds of rounds of tear gas shells.
CDO Netra Prasad Neupane said the curfew was imposed from 2 pm.
