They vandalized the vehicle of Lingden at Dashami Bazaar between Ilam and Panchthar districts while he was returning to Ranke addressing programs held at Funyatappa of Ilam and Rabi of Panchthar.[break]
Windowpanes of the vehicle was broken from the attack whereas cadres and the candidate are safe.The cadres of the CPN-Maoist ran away after they were countered by the cadres of the UCPN-Maoist.
Chief District Officer of Ilam, Baburam Khatiwada, said that more security personnel have been deployed in the area after the incident.
