CPN-Maoist forms talks team

KATHMANDU, July 8: The disgruntled CPN-Maoist on Monday formed a high level five-member talks team under the leadership of party Chairman Mohan Baidya to hold talks with government and the major political parties.

The CPN-Maoist notified about the talks team and its members amidst a press conference organized in the capital today.The talks team has party Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel, General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa and Secretary duo Dev Gurung and Netra Bikram Chand as members.[break]

The central committee meeting of the party held in Pokhara last week had forged the party´s stance of boycotting the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, but at the same time decided to leave the door open for talks.
