KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The CPN-Maoist on Sunday has formally informed the Election Commission (EC) about the formation of the party.
The party registration process began formally after registering an application at the EC today.
Dissident leaders of the UCPN (Maoist) led by Mohan Baidya on June 19 had split the party and formed the new party accusing the leaders of their mother party of giving up the achievements of their decade-long ´people´s war´ and compromising the party´s basic principles.
