KATHMANDU, March 14: Westerly and local winds are partially influencing the country, keeping the weather generally clear with partial to moderate cloud cover in hilly areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
This afternoon, most parts of the country will experience clear weather, except for partial to moderate cloud cover in the hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim Province. A few areas in the high hills and mountainous regions may receive light snowfall. Additionally, one or two places in the hilly regions could see light rain with thunder and lightning.
Tonight, partial to moderate cloud cover will prevail in the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear. A few places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may witness light snowfall.
Over the next 24 hours, partial to moderate cloud cover will persist in the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces and the hilly regions.
One or two places in the hilly areas may experience light rain with thunder and lightning, while some high-altitude and mountainous regions are likely to receive light snowfall. The MFD has urged caution as these weather conditions could have minor impacts on daily life, health, road transport, and aviation.
