The combatants of the Chhintang-Sukhani Memorial Brigade, Yangshila, under the Chulachuli Camp collectively hailed the peal deal on Thursday and called for its implementation as soon as possible.[break]
Company Joint Commander Mohan Prasad Koirala said that the deal brings happiness to them. The peace deal comes as an outlet to the stalled peace process, said the UMNIM verified combatant. He also said, although the consensus on integration process was positive, challenges are ahead to implement it. Hence, delay should not be made in the process, Koirala stated.
It would be better if the rehabilitation package is provided on lump sum, opined another company Joint Commander Jamuna Laksam.
The combatants extended their collective support and co-operation in implementing the peace deal.It wouldn’t bring humiliation to work under the Nepal Army Directorate, rather it is an honor, said Platoon Commander Hima Dangal.
“No dispute would affect us, as we are under the state army since coming to the special committee during the tenure of former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal,” said Section Commander Pradip Pandey referring to the ongoing Maoist intra-party rift and its probable influence over the implementation of peace deal.
People Liberation Army (PLA) combatants are languishing inside different cantonment sites since the commencement of peace process five years back, which ended a decade long Maoist insurgency in Nepal.
