ILAM, April 16: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in the building of Chulachuli Rural Municipality on Saturday resulting in minor damages.
The explosion has created a hole in the terrace of the building and broken the window glasses. However, police are yet to find out the perpetrators involved in planting the explosive. According to Pradip Chandra Rai, chairperson of the rural municipality, the bomb exploded at around 8 pm on Saturday.

"We were about to add another floor in the rural municipality building but the bomb has created a hole in the terrace," said Rai, adding," But we are yet to find out the type of explosive and the persons involved in planting it." He informed that police have expedited search to find out the culprits.
SP Bipin Karmacharya, chief of District Police Office, informed that they are investigating the incident. As informed by DSP Ramesh Basnet, preliminary investigation has shown that the explosion was planned by four individuals. The explosion has reportedly caused a loss Rs 1.2 million.
