Chinese tourist killed in elephant attack

CHITWAN, Sept 25: A Chinese tourist died after being attacked by an elephant at Sauraha, near Chitwan National Park on Friday.



Wang Heung was attacked by Laxmikali, belonging to Holiday Safari, after he returned from an elephant safari. The elephant suddenly attacked him while he tried to feed fruits to it.



The elephant pulled him down and crushed with a leg.



Wang died on the way to Bharatpur Medical College hospital, according to the police.



Wang was accompanied by his wife.
