Ambassador Wu conveyed satisfaction of the Chinese government over the announcement of election date and said that China hopes election would bring stability in Nepal. According to a press statement issued by Milan Tuladhar, a member of the CPN-UML International Department, Khanal thanked the Chinese government for its support to the electoral process and expressed confidence that the support would continue even in the days to come .
