According to the organizer, Computer Association of Nepal, over one hundred companies and entrepreneurs with 270 stalls will participate in the event. Around 350,000 visitors are expected to turn up at the exhibition.
Last year, the total number of visitors had reached 300,000 by the end of the exhibition day. General Secretary of CAN Binod Dhakal informed during a press meet on Friday that laptops of various brands and cellular mobile sets, digital cameras, iPods, pendrives etc will be exhibited in the event.
“The price of the devices for sale in the CAN InfoTech 2010 will be cheaper due to competition and more offers will be there,” President of CAN Suresh Karna said.
In the exhibition customers can buy electronic and digital devices of brands including Lenovo, HP, Sony, Samsung, Umax, Logitech, Su-Kam, Brother, Kaspersky, Toshiba, and HCL.

The activities of CAN InfoTech 2010 can be viewed online, which is for the first time in Nepal as claimed by CAN. Cyber Cell stall recently prepared by Nepal Police will also be in the exhibition where consumers can file a case about the threats received through online technology.
Likewise, CAN InfoTech 2010 will be organized in Makawanpur, Hetauda on February 4-8, as briefed in the press meet.
On the occasion of CAN InfoTech, CAN is organizing a information and technology conference entitled “Next IT Economy: A Future Tal” during which 20 working papers will be presented by national and international IT experts.
