BUSINESS BRIEFS: FNCCI inks deal to develop 45 mini hydro projects

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) and Clean Energy Development Bank (CEDB) have signed in an agreement to develop micro and mini hydro projects in 45 districts on private public partnership basis. [break]



FNCCI President Kush Kumar Joshi and Manoj Goyal signed the agreement on Friday, according to the press release issued by FNCCI. As per the accord, one to 10 megawatts of hydro projects will be built within 4 years.



With the participation of local bodies, project development will be carried out and the financial arrangement will be done by CEDB. The first project to be developed by this model is Haheshkhola Hydro Electric Project at Dhading district under the four-year project scheme of FNCCI.





Sahara wins grand prize of Dabur scheme



KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Dabur Nepal on Friday declared Sahara Shrestha as grand prize winner of its promotional scheme, Hajmola Khaaun, Hasaaun Harkelai (Let´s eat hajmola, let´s make Harke laugh), under which she won cash prize of Rs 111,111.



Likewise, Anil Prasad Baskota and Sagar Guragain won the second and third prize of Rs 55,555 and Rs 33,333 respectively. A total of 1,350 persons had participated in the competition.



Prior to holding the grand prize award ceremony, the company had also awarded best hilarious jokes and other write-ups every fortnight.
