The dead have been identified as Bhagirath Thapa, chairman of the Nepali Congress Patauti village committee, and 50-year-old Pemikala Biswokarma of Patauti-5. The injured are receiving treatment at the Mission Hospital in Palpa.
Nepali dies in Malaysia
UDAYPUR: A Nepali laborer from Udaypur died in Malaysia Saturday morning. Tikasher Rai, 34, of Chaulane, Jante-5, died while working at a pig farm in Penang, his family members said. According to Milan Rai, a relative, Tikasher was injured Friday after he was attacked by a male pig. The attack left him with a broken rib and he received 12 stitches to close a leg wound. Excessive bleeding is believed to have caused his death.
New govt soon: KC
BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC on Sunday claimed that the new government will be formed by mid-January next year following the beginning of a regular session of parliament. KC said the regular session should be called in line with the understanding reached among the political parties.
