BJP leader Upadhya urges govt to hold broad discussion in Hindu religion

KATHMANDU, March 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dr Dinesh Upadhya has said that there is necessity to discuss about Hindu religion at a time Nepal is going to enact a new constitution.

Speaking at a program, organized by Nepal Cancer Society at the Reporters Club on Saturday, Upadhaya said that there is no use by constructing churches in a country where majority of Hindu reside.


Upadhya said that after the formation of the Modi government in India, the mental picture of the Indian government to look after any country in the world has changed and so do in Nepal.

Upadhya also suggested Nepal government to promulgate consensus-based constitution, which would bring peace and prosperity in the country.

After receiving a memorandum from Nepal Cancer Society, which includes medical services to the cancer patients and discount on plane fair, Upadhya said that he would hand over the memorandum to Helath Minister in India and request him for support to the cancer victims.

"I'm so much delighted in getting an opportunity to visit Nepal. Everybody should take the responsibilities in their parts in order to curb this deadliest diseases from nook and corner of the society" said Upadhaya.
