A brace from Suresh Nepali helped the defending champions register a 2-0 victory over Little Angel´s in the title decider. Suresh netted in the 17th and 37th minutes, respectively.
Little Angel´s, backed by local supporters, came up with aggressive performance from the start but failed to continue with their pace after they conceded the first goal before the interval. Again, Little Angel´s came up with attacking play in the second half, but it was all in vain as they conceded the second goal and could not score. Birendra Sainik had brought a considerable number of their students from the school to cheer for the team.
Suresh Nepali of the winning side was adjudged man-of-the-match and the best player title of the event went to Roshan Rai of the same team. Tek Prasad Lamsal of SOS took the best goalkeeper award. Likewise, best defender, midfielder and striker titles went to Hari Makaju of Baylor Int´l, Subh Maharjan of GEMS and Roshan Rai of Birendra Sainik, respectively.
The winners and the runners-up were awarded with cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 along with trophies, medals and certificates. Altogether, 23 teams participated in the tournament that started from October 30.
