Bamdev to contest polls from Pyuthan

PYUTHAN, Sept 1: The regional committee of CPN (UML) has recommended Vice Chairman Bam Dev Gautam as the candidate for the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) election from constituency no 1 of the district. Though the regional committee had recommended three names, Gautam was nominated unanimously.



He had contested the previous CA election from constituency no 1 of Bardiya and had lost the election. “We are holding a regional committee meeting on Monday and he [Gautam] would be finalized as the party´s candidate for constituency number one of Pyuthan,” district joint secretary of the party Madhur Sharma told Republica.
