The stores will have around 5,000 items, both local as well as imported ones, and customers do not have to go out of their locality to buy complete grocery items be it spices, meat, confectionaries, cosmetic, toiletries, liquors or kitchen wares, according to Thapa. He further added that the mart not only aims to provide wide range of produces but also envisions making shopping experience more enjoyable and convenient by providing the goods at nominal price.
“As Stuti Mero Mart is just an upgradation of a normal retail store, customers need not worry about pricing. All the products will be priced reasonably,” added Thapa.
According to ANS Co officials, all the outlets will be community based and that they will be providing free home delivery.
“We will open outlets of Stuti Mero Mart will in all 35 wards of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Only then we will venture into Lalitpur and Bhaktapur and then outside the Valley,” Thapa said, adding the company will open 20 outlets in Kathmandu within one and half years.
All the outlets will spread over the area of 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft. Each outlet will hire 8-10 local staff, according to Thapa. They will open from 8 in the morning to 8 pm.
The company is providing special discount card and coupons to the members of Stuti Multipurpose Cooperative which is also promoted by ANS Co.
“To make it easier for our customers, we are also launching online shopping facility. They can buy goods just at the click of their mouse. We will deliver the goods that they have ordered at their doorsteps,” said Thapa.
ANS Creation, ANS Music and Movies, BTL Media and ANS Soft are some of the firms operated by ANS Co.
