KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The mobile wallet app eSewa is available in the Play Store again. Issuing a press release on Thursday, the company gave the information about eSewa being available in the Play Store.
Google temporarily removed the eSewa app from the Play Store due to differences in the details during the company's name change process. However, the company has stated that the process is now complete, and eSewa is once again available in the Play Store, said the company.
Gyanendra Malla appointed eSewa brand ambassador
"When eSewa was established, the Google Developer Account was created under the name of a private limited company. However, since May 10, 2024, the company has been converted into a public limited company, which caused difficulties in eSewa's business verification due to this name change," eSewa stated.
Google has implemented a new policy for the safety of its users. According to this policy, if there are differences between the details provided by the developer and the account information, Google removes the developer profile and its apps from the Play Store. All developers who publish apps on the Google Play Store are required to verify their accounts.
The company also clarified that the eSewa app has not been removed from the Google Play Store due to any security flaws or security issues.
