8000 vacant posts in Nepal Police: IGP

DAILEKH, Jan 3: Inspector General Police (IGP) of Nepal Police Upendra Kanta Aryal said that there are currently around there are 8,000 vacant posts in the organization.

Addressing a program organized in Dailekh headquarters on Sunday, Aryal said that many districts in the country are reeling on severe under-staff.

"Around 1500-2000 police personnel are currently undergoing various trainings," he added. He stressed need of people's support to maintain peace and security in the country.

Aryal said that people and police have to go hand in hand for the betterment of the society.
