7-yr-old killed after kidnapping

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: A 7-year-old schoolboy who disappeared 10 days ago from Kapan area in the outskirts of the capital was found dead in a well Thursday. Samman Katawal had failed to return home after playing with friends near his home in mid-December, his faher Suresh Katawal told Avenues television. Thereafter, the family had been receiving phone calls from the abductor who demanded Rs 500,000 in ransom.  The boy’s dead body was recovered from a well in the house of the Katawal family’s neighbors Thursday. Police say they are conducting investigation on the case. Samman’s father has acused police of being accomplices in the incident.
