KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Police have apprehended four individuals from Chabahil, Kathmandu, on the charge of kidnapping a man hailing from Rasuwa. The abduction incident, which reportedly occurred on November 26, came to light only after the victim reported it to the police.
The victim, Hissichhaya Tamang, residing in Rasuwa, claimed to have been abducted. He said that he was kidnapped and taken to a forest from Bauddha, and he was released after a ransom was paid. Officials involved in the investigation said that the accused released him after obtaining a ransom of Rs 1.35 million.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Kumodh Dhungel, from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, mentioned that four people have been detained for interrogation on suspicion of their involvement in the kidnapping. He stated, "It appears to be a dispute related to transactions, and we are conducting an investigation."
