According to Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, all four explosive devices have been defused by Nepal Army´s bomb disposal squad. One explosive device was found Monday night in a supermarket in the Inarwa municipality, which was defused on Tuesday.[break]
A search for the miscreants who planted the explosive in Inarwa is currently on, said Raju Manadhar, Superintendent of Police of Sunsari.
Three improvised explosive devices were found Tuesday morning in Dharan´s Inland Revenue Office, Itahari´s Eastern Regional Revenue Investigation Department and in a crusher industry in Tapeshowri- 9 of Udayapur. All these devices were defused by the bomb squad.
Khumbuwan Mukti Morcha who has been involved in armed struggle in the eastern region has taken the responsibility for planting the explosives in Itahari, Dharan and Udaypur.
Aakar Khambu, claiming to be the spokesperson of the group, took responsibility for the incidents while speaking to the media from an undisclosed place. The pamphlets found in the areas where the explosive were planted demanded a Khumbu state.
Investigations are going on and the vigilance has been increased, said SSP Mingmar Lama, Chief of Koshi Zone Police Office.
