27 infected with swine flu in Chitwan

CHITWAN, March 12: Of late, the number of people infected with swine flu has increased significantly in the district. Two days ago, the disease was confirmed in 10 people, which surged to 27 as of Thursday.

 The Public Health Office, Chitwan confirmed the number after receiving medical reports of suspected patients.


Vector Control Inspector Ram K.C. at the office told Myrepublica that out of 162 samples sent to Kathmandu for diagnosis, the virus was detected in 27 samples.

According to him, among those infected with the disease, most are women. Dr. Bhojraj Adhikari informed the number of people undergoing diagnosis for swine flu has increased at Bharatpur Hospital.



Public Health Office, Chitwan has appealed people to take precautionary measures to prevent them from the disease and asked people suffering from cold and cough to undergo medical checkup.
