KATHMANDU, May 26: Police on Thursday arrested 27 former parliamentarians who tried to enter the prohibited area in front of the Constituent Assembly building in New Baneshwor.

They were taken to Ratnapark and released.[break]

The former lawmakers are agitating for the past 17 days to press the parties for conclusion of peace process and constitution drafting.

The agitators started their  agitation from early morning at 7 pm and chanted slogans for around 45 minutes.

When police took them to Ratnapark and released there, they held a corner meeting and said power politics was to blame for the delay in peace process and constitution drafting.
