2 siblings missing in Koshi River

JANAKPURDHAM, Sept. 19: Two brothers who had gone to immerse the idol of Lord Bishwakarma in the Koshi River are missing after they were swept away by the river on Wednesday. [break]



Those missing are Khusilal Mahto and Arun Mahato, the sons of Laxmi Mahato of Bengadabar VDC-6, Dhanusha district, police said.



The two brothers were swept away by the river while trying to immerse the idol after performing worship at home, an eyewitness said. One Sanjaya Thakur who had gone with them to immerse however was safe even though he too was swept away by the river.
