Nepali officials in an informal meeting with Indian officials at Biratnagar expressed their concern over Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) entering Nepali territory with weapons, firing bullets at Nepalis and 'manhandling' Nepal Police personnel, among others.The meeting was attended by Chief District Officers (CDO) of Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari districts, security chiefs of the districts from Nepali side while DM of Araria district Himansu Sharma, DM of Supau district Ram Chandra Dhudu and DM of Kishan Gunj district Ramji Shah represented India.
"We held an informal meeting with Indian authorities regarding the recent activities of Indian security forces," Morang CDO Ganesh Raj Karki said in the press meet today, "Indian authorities have said that they will resolve the issues."
Indian police had snatched a pistol from Nepali police personnel in a clash erupted with the protestors in Jogbani. Similarly, four Nepalis were injured when Indian SSB fired bullets at them in Sunsari.
"We have discussed all the issues surfaced in the recent days," Karki added.
