CHITWAN, June 17: The security officials of Nepal and India held discussion on border pillars.
The meeting reviewed the achievements made so far by the border pillars field survey team and discussed the bilateral border management issues, said Chitwan Chief District Officer Binod Prakash Singh.
The meeting held at Betiya of India on Thursday had a serious discussion on the maintenance and new construction of border pillars and border area, he added.

The Nepali team returned home on Thursday after the meeting. "Mainly the achievements so far made by the survey team was thoroughly discussed", SIngh said, adding that, "Almost all border pillars except the area of rivulet are found to be repaired".
The meeting was attended by the Chief District Officers, security chiefs, national parks, forest officials of the bordering districts of Nepal and east and west Chaparan of India.
CDOS and security officials of Bara, Parsa and Chitwan attended the meeting from Nepal, said Chitwan Police In-charge Basanta Kunwar.
The report will be presented to higher level once its review by the team of CDO and security officials. A joint team comprising survey department officials has been undertaking the border pillar pillar survey since last year. RSS
