Transporters shut traffic in Janakpur

JANAKPUR, Oct 27: Traffic along Janakpur-Jaleswor, Janakpur-Jatahi and Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section remained disrupted due to an indefinite traffic strike called by Janakpur Zonal Bus Entrepreneurs’ Association.



The association called the strike demanding legal action against the guilty involved in attacking bus driver Sati Ram Mishra.[break]



Buses and passengers heading for several destinations through the route have been stranded in different parts of Dhanusha.



According to association chairman Tej Narayan Chaudhary, the transporters´ body was forced to call the strike after the local administration showed non-seriousness over their demands. He warned of stern protests if their demands were not fulfilled.
