Thapa, Khadka in Mumbai for Hindu meet

KATHMANDU, May 8:  Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) Kamal Thapa on Saturday left for Mumbai, India, to take part in an International Conference on Hinuism. RPP-N said he has been invited as chief guest of the function that is organized by Nepal Civil Society, India.



The function will begin Sunday. "Nepali Congress (NC) leader Khum Bahadur Khadka, Chief of Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thakre, Senior Shiv Sena Leader Manohar Joshi and Vice-Chairman of Bharatiya Janta Party Gopinath Munde are among 1,500 representatives from several countries to take part in the international event," said a statement issued by RPP-N central office on Saturday.[break]



RPP-N is the only party in the Constituent Assembly to officially demand referendum to decide whether to proclaim Nepal a Hindu or a secular state while Khadka represents a faction of NC leaders who demand reinstatement of Nepal as a Hindu state.
