KATHMANDU, August 17: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Hari Shankar Mishra as the chief of Province 2 on the recommendation of the government after dismissing Rajesh Jha, who was appointed to the post by the erstwhile KP Oli government.
A Cabinet meeting on Monday recommended to President Bhandari to appoint Mishra to the post.

According to a press release issued by the President’s Office, Mishra was appointed as the chief of Province 2 in accordance with Clause 2 of Article 163 of the constitution.
