Security agencies on alert as concerns rise over possible ISIS presence in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Suspicions have arisen that agents of the extremist organization ISIS may be present in Nepal following revelations that a senior Nepal Police official had contact with individuals involved in terrorism-financing activities linked to ISIS.

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Singapore-based International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol)’s National Central Bureau (NCB) has enquired its Nepali counterpart about the whereabouts and activities of three Nepali individuals including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hem Bahadur Shahi in connection with suspected links to terrorism-related groups and terrorism-financing activities.
