CIAA sues Pappu Construction’s Rauniyar, 11 others

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against lawmaker Hari Narayan Rauniyar, his son Sumit and 10 others at the Special Court on charges of using sub-standard materials in the construction of the Jabdighat Bridge over the Babai River. Sumit Rauniyar runs Pappu Construction Company.

SARLAHI, Sept 30: The government had introduced the Public Residential Program (PRP) with the aim of providing shelter to the people of the poor and marginalized communities. However, the houses offered to the poor and homeless of Sarlahi district are reportedly made up of sub-standard materials as well as scrap.
