ONEPLUS might take the wraps off its next-generation flagship before the end of the month. And this is why.

March 3: OnePlus, the Chinese tech firm that has done so much in so less time, is once again ready to stir the smartphone market with its next-gen OnePlus 6. The smartphone has been reportedly confirmed but none of its specifications or features are. One can only guess what the handset maker has in store for its fans. Being one of those, we too have compiled what we think will be coming onboard with the OnePlus 6, based on previous OnePlus handsets’ history and the ongoing rumours.

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): OnePlus launched its new flagship phone -- OnePlus 5 -- in the Nepali market on Saturday. Issuing a statement, the company said that the phone features the highest resolution dual-camera system with 16 MP sensor supported by a 20 MP sensor with a telephoto lens for clearer photos.

Four years ago, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus took the world by storm. New entrants into the smartphone market, the company disrupted it by providing phones as good as flagships by other well-known companies at a price point that resonated with most average smartphone buyers. Exceptional build-quality, top-notch specification, smooth software at a price-point that undercut all of its competitors, however, came at a price; and that price was subdued marketing strategies, smart inventory control and a refined production cycle. But regardless of all of these company compromises, the users always benefitted as a result. This was also part of how a small smartphone company operating out of Shenzhen, China, created a market for itself all over the world.
